Intel Pentium 2020M : 2MB L3 Cache, 2.4GHz, 35W TDP

In the last quarter of 2012, Intel has released another entry-level processor in the market, the Intel Pentium 2020M Ivy Bridge processor. This Ivy Bridge processor features Intel HD Graphics capable of rendering high definition movies and low resolution games with ease; DDR3 Memory Controller; Enhanced Speedstep and Thermal Monitoring. Since this is an entry-level processor, it does not support Hyper-Threading, Turbo Boost, AES, Virtualization (VT-x and VT-d), Trusted Execution or Intel Quick Sync. On the other hand, it support 64 bit technology.

The Intel Pentium 2020M dual-core processor runs at the clock speed of 2.4GHz. It has 128 KB L1 cache, 512 KB L2 cache and 2MB L3 cache. It has a Thermal design power of 35 watts which makes it compatible to laptop PCs ranging from 14 inches and above.

With regards to performance, this Intel Pentium 2020M dual-core processor is more powerful than Sandy Bridge Intel Pentium B980, AMD E2-1800, and AMD A6-4400M. Laptop packed with this processor includes Sony VAIO E Series SVE1513TCXW.
