Intel Core i7-2670QM

The Intel Core i7-2670QM is a quad-core processor commonly seen on high-class core i-Series notebook PCs and successor to the prevalent Core i7-2630QM. The Intel Core i7-2670QM is created on the Sandy Bridge architecture and offers Hyperthreading to handle 8 threads at once. This Core i7-2670QM is clocked at 2.2 GHz but since this processor supports TurboBoost Technology it can reach up to 3.1 GHz.

The Intel Core i7-2670QM is equipped with an integrated graphics card dubbed Intel HD Graphics 3000 which is faster than the older Intel HD Graphics. The new Intel HD Graphics 3000 is now integrated in the CPU and also manufactured in 32nm and shares the fast level 3 cache with the CPU cores.

In terms of performance, the Core i7-2670QM is slightly slower than the previous Core i7-2720QM processor that offers only slightly higher Turbo Boost frequencies. In this regard, even most demanding applications and games should run without problems.
