Intel Core i7-2637M Processor for Small and Ultralight Notebooks

The Second Generation Intel Core i7-2637M is an Ultra Low Voltage ( ULV ) dual core processor for ultraportable notebooks. This Intel Core i7-2637M has a base frequency of 1.7 GHz but it can overclock automatically because of the Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, up to 2.8 GHz when only one core is used and 2.5 GHz with both cores are activated. Turbo Boost technology can be achieved when the electrical and thermal aspects of the system are met.

Another feature of Intel Core i7-2637M processor is the Hyper Threading technology. With hyper threading, this Core i7-2637M is capable of handling 4 threads (processes) at once.

It has integrated GPU called Intel HD Graphics 3000 which is clocked at 350 MHz or 1200MHz because of Turbo Boost. This GPU is capable of playing High definition movies and low resolution games with ease. It has Level 1 Cache of 128 KB, Level 2 Cache of 512 KB, and Level 3 Cache of 4096 KB.

This Intel Core i7-2637M has a Thermal Design Power of 17 watts and therefore suitable for small and lightweight notebooks.
