Intel Atom N2600 : Dual Core, Hyper Threading Technology, 32nm Lithography

The Intel Atom N2600 is a dual core processor for entry level netbooks and tablet PCs. It was made available last December 2011 and is fabricated using 32nm lithography and supports Hyper Threading technology. It has a clock speed of 1600 MHz (1.6 GHz) and 2.5 GT/s DMI bus speed. It has 1MB level 2 cache.

The Intel Atom N2600 just like Atom N2800 features a PowerVR SGX545 based graphics card but with a speed of only 400MHz and named as Graphics Media Accelerator 360. It supports video decoding engine for MPEG4 Part2, VC-1, WMV9, and H.264. This new atom processor now supports DisplayPort 1.1 and HDMI 1.3a outputs.

The Intel Atom N2600 has 64Bit Single-Channel DDR3-800/1067 memory controller that supports two Small Outline DIMMs and maximum physical memory storage of 2 GB. It has a PassMark rating of 543 which is somewhat slower in terms of CPU muscle than to AMD C-60 but a mile slower than the GPU side.

It has thermal design power (TDP) rating of 3.5 Watts and is suited for netbooks and tablet PCs. Below is a list of processors showing their PassMark Rating together with the intel Atom N2600.
