Nikon Coolpix AW100

Another tough camera from Nikon is now available in the market, the Nikon Coolpix AW100. The Nikon Coolpix AW100 is made to endure depths of up to 10 meters, to resist shock when dropped it from heights of up to 1.5 meters, and to tolerate temperatures down to -10°C. The new COOLPIX AW100 is a slim compact camera specially made to go more of the places you like to travel around. This compact camera also features Action control, which allows one-hand gloved control over assigned functions, whether wearing ski gloves or skin-diving gloves. This can be done by simply selecting Underwater mode for automated assistance in capturing stunning underwater pictures.

The Nikon Coolpix AW100 has a high-performance GPS chip that records position data for each shot, and the system's updatable A-GPS (Assisted GPS) file helps reduce the time necessary to deliver position information. The Nikon Coolpix AW100 can also be set to record your movements, even when not taking pictures. Another good thing about this compact camera is that the Pictures and routes can then be viewed using the new Built-in world map display. These utilities combine to open up a whole new aspect in photographic pleasure, from tracing your progress on a golf course, to mark the location of that great catch or achievement. The Nikon Coolpix AW100 has also a digital compass function that registers the camera's positioning when shooting.
