Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5339 : Windows 8, AMD E-300 APU

The Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5339 is another inexpensive laptop PC which is suitable for those who would like to have another laptop for browsing the web and watching movies. Definitely, this laptop is not for power user because it is equipped only with a dual-core accelerated processor called AMD E-300 that features 1.3GHz CPU clock speed. In terms of CPU performance, this is less powerful than Intel Core i3-3217U, Intel Pentium B980, and Intel Celeron 847. Regarding the GPU, it is packed with AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics which is capable of rendering your favorite HD movies.

With regards to the display, this Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5339 laptop PC comes with 15.6 inch wide screen  display with HD TruBrite, LED Backlit display and 1366x768 screen resolution. I think this is one of the good features of this laptop. Aside from the fact that the screen is big, it is clear and bright even with this low resolution. It has an integrated webcam at the top of the screen which gives you the ability to use Skype and video conferencing. The keyboard on this laptop is full-size and might be acceptable to some users but others might not like it due to the fact that it feels like you are typing on a piece of plastic and wondering whether you actually pressed the key. Regarding the laptop, it is quite acceptable hut sometimes unresponsive, I think Toshiba should be something with it.

Overall appearance, this is not that something head turner, it is acceptable due to its price. It is made from plastic which makes it looks quite cheap. It attracts fingerprints easily. To make it short it is not that attractive. Regarding the sound, of course it is not that good, we’ll what do you expect with this laptop with such price. It is also packed with a battery that could last more than two hours of usage.
This Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5339 laptop PC comes with 2GB DDR3 1066MHz memory which is upgradeable; 320GB HDD with 5400rpm; DVD-SuperMulti optical disk drive; Wireless networking; microphone; Headphone jack (stereo); Standard stereo speakers; 10/100 Ethernet LAN; 3-USB 2.0 (yes it has no USB 3.0) and VGA port. This does not have also Bluetooth nor HDMI output port.

The Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5339 laptop PC runs with Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. It measures about 14.96 x 9.53 x 1.31 inches and weighs about 5.5 pounds. This can be had at the price of $350.
