HP, one of the major manufacturers of computer products has made available another Version of HP Slate, the HP Slate 2 B2A29UT. This tablet offers Windows 7 OS, Graphics Media Accelerator 600, Atom processor and touchscreen display.
The new HP Slate 2 B2A29UT boasts with the processing power of Intel Atom Z670 which is clocked at around 1.50 GHz with 512 KB L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB and Intel System Controller Hub (SCH) SM35 chipset. The Intel Atom Z670 processor has a PassMArk rating of 266 this is as powerful as Atom N280 in terms of processing power. It has a video processing card called Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500 which is intended for video playback tasks and has an integrated video decoder capable of accelerating MPEG-2, VC-1, and AVC HD videos.
Other main features of this HP Slate 2 B2A29UT tablet includes 8.9 inch diagonal WSVGA HP Touchscreen with 1024 x 600 or 1024 x 768 resolution for certain applications; inward facing VGA webcam, 3MP outward facing camera; 2 GB DDR2 on board memory for multitasking ability of the tablet; 32 GB Solid State Module (SSM) for storing digital files; HP Slate Digital Pen; and connectivity options such as HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology, and Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless LAN. It measures 5.9” x 9.2” x 0.6” and weighs about 1.5 pounds with HP 2-cell, 30 WHr polymer battery.
The HP Slate 2 B2A29UT tablet is powered by the operating system environment that is familiar to almost everybody, the 32 bit Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
