Lenovo ThinkPad 4178A53

The Lenovo ThinkPad 4178A53 laptop is equipped with Second Generation Intel Core i5-2520M dual core processor which is based on the Sandy Bridge architecture and features Hyperthreading technology that can handle 4 threads at once for additional performance by up 20%. The Intel Core i5-2520M offers a 128 KB Level 1 Cache, 512 KB Level 2 Cache, and 3MB level 3 cache and features a base clock speed of 2.5 GHz but because of TurboBoost technology its speed can increase up to 3 GHz when 2 cores are active and 3.2 GHz when only 1 core is active.


It has an integrated graphics controller called Intel HD Graphics 3000 which is said to be as powerful as entry level discreet graphics card. This integrated graphics controller is clocked from 650 to 1300MHz with Turbo Boost. In terms of connectivity, this Lenovo ThinkPad 4178A53 offers IEEE 802.11b/g/n WIFI technology; eSATA/USB Combo; DisplayPort; Gigabit Ethernet; 4x USB 2.0 ports and VGA port. It measures: 1.2"(H), 13.4"(W), 9.2"(D).

Additionally, the Lenovo ThinkPad 4178A53 laptop also features 14-inch 16:9 Active Matrix TFT Color LCD with LED backlit technology and 1600 x 900 screen resolution; 4GB DDR3 memory; 160 GB solid state drive; DVD±R/±RW optical disk drive; built-in webcam; memory card reader that supports Secure Digital (SD) Card, MultiMediaCard (MMC), Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC), Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) and lithium-ion battery pack.

This Lenovo ThinkPad 4178A53 laptop runs on 64-bit Genuine Windows 7 Professional operating system. It costs around $1285.
