Sony has released yet another eye candies, the Sony VAIO SE and the Sony VAIO SA. The Sony Vaio SE is designed specifically for people who like larger screen which is good when watching movies on laptop. Apart from the larger screen size, storage capacity which is about 500GB/640GB, the battery life and the dedicated keys, the Sony VAIO SE is packed with the same features as its smaller counterpart Sony VAIO SA.
The Sony VAIO SA was designed with smaller screen which is about 13.3-inches diagonally, with a resolution of about 1600×900 pixel. One interesting thing about the Sony Vaio SA is that, it is about under 1inch thick, and comes with AMD Radeon Hybrid Graphics 6630M with a video memory of up to 1GB.
In addition, both Sony VAIO SE and the Sony VAIO SA standard models are powered by 2nd generation Intel Core i5-2430M processor (high end models are powered by Intel Core i7 processor) with a clock speed of 2.40 GHz with TurboBoost and Hyperthreading Technology support. Both units comes with 4GB DDR3 RAM that is expandable to 8GB, Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology, optical drive, one USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI out, SD card slot, Memory Stick Duo slot, VGA output, audio jack. According to SONY, the SONY VAIO SE’s battery life is about 5 ¾ hours with default brightness, while the SONY VAIO SA’s will last up to 7 ¼ hours with similar settings. It is worth noting that the battery life greatly depends on laptop usage.
