A-Data has made available a new line of portable hard drives, the DashDrive Durable HD710. The DashDrive Durable HD710 Waterproof/Shock-Resistant USB 3.0 External Hard Drive will come in three storage capacities: the 500GB, 750GB and 1TB.

Zalman SSD-F1

Zalman has made available a new line of SATA 6.0 Gbps Solid State Drives dubbed SSD-F1 to be available for the Japanese market. The SSD-F1 comes in 60 GB, 120 GB and 240 GB capacities. These 2.5-inch Solid State Drives are packed with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a SandForce SF-2281 controller, a MTBF of 1.2 million hours and has the ability of providing read and write speeds of up to 560MB/s and 530MB/s, correspondingly. The 60GB, 120GB and 240GB SSD-F1 models are available at around 11,980 Yen, 19,800 Yen and 39,980 Yen, in that order.

OCZ Synapse Solid State Drive Optimized for Cache

Synapse is the latest line of SATA 6.0 Gbps Solid State Drives coming from the OCZ for the mass market. The OCZ Synapse SSD is a 2.5-inch SSDs that are packed with 2Xnm MLC NAND flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a SandForce SF-2281 controller, TRIM support, a MTBF of 2 million hours and has the ability to deliver read/write speeds of up to 550/490 MB/s for the 64GB model and 550/510 MB/s for the 128GB model.
