Another magnificent smartphone from Samsung will be available sometime this June in the market, the Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III. This new smartphone has interesting features like LTE connectivity which depends on region you belong, Corning Gorilla Glass 2 display protection, NFC, 8MP camera, Ice Cream Sandwich OS, quad core processor and 16/32/64GB storage options.
The processing muscle of this smartphone is provided by Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with Exynos 4212 Quad chipset, 1 MB level 2 cache, and Mali-400MP graphics controller. It also has 1 GB RAM memory to optimize the multitasking capability of the smartphone.
Other interesting features of this upcoming Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III smartphone includes 4.8 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors, 720 x 1280 resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection; microSD card slot for additional storage; 8 MP (3264x2448 pixels), autofocus, LED flash camera; Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization; 1.9 MP secondary camera; sensors such as Accelerometer, gyro, RGB sensor, proximity, compass, barometer; SMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM, messaging options; Stereo FM radio with RDS; GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS; and supports MicroSIM card only.
The Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III smartphone also comes with connectivity options like GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, EDR; microUSB v2.0 (MHL), USB On-the-go; and 3.5mm jack. It measures 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm and weighs about 133 grams. It is powered by Android 4.0 operating system which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. There’s no word for pricing for this smartphone as of this writing.
Update: This Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III smartphone will be released on June 20th, 2012 via TELUS, Bell, WIND, Videotron, SaskTel, Mobilicity, Virgin Mobile and Rogers. It is also available for pre-order in Canada.
