Asus X54C-BBK17 - Pentium B960, USB 3.0, 15.6 Inch Display

This laptop, Asus X54C-BBK17 boasts with the following features such as 15.6 inch high-definition widescreen display with 1366 x 768 resolution and antiglare technology; 4GB DDR3 memory which can be upgraded up to 8GB; 320GB hard drive that has a speed of 5400 RPM-much better if it is rated 7200 RPM for faster read/write speed; Built-in 0.3MP webcam and microphone; Azalia-compliant chip with 3D effect and full duplex; SonicFocus SW support; Touchpad with Palm Proof technology; Multiformat media reader for Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO formats; and 4-cell lithium-ion battery.
This Asus X54C-BBK17 laptop comes equipped with an entry level processor from Intel, the Pentium dual core processor B960 that features 2MB L3 cache and 2.2GHz processor speed. Unfortunately, it does not feature Hyper Threading, Turbo Boost and other technologies present in Core iSeries Intel processors. This processor has a PassMark rating of 2099, this is slower compared to Core i3-2310M’s 2620 but much higher compared to AMD E-450’s 743. With regards to video processing this laptop offers only an integrated GPU called Intel HD Graphics 3000 which is much powerful compared to older GPU offered by older Intel-powered PC, but compared to AMD E-450’s integrated GPU this Intel HD Graphics 3000 is much less powerful.

 This Asus X54C-BBK17 gives you several connectivity options such as 1 USB 3.0 port and 1 USB 2.0 port; Built-in high-speed wireless LAN (802.11n); Integrated 10/100/1000 Mbps Fast Ethernet LAN; VGA port and HDMI output port. It measures 1.4” x 15.2” x 9.9” and weighs around 5.8 pounds. Moreover, this laptop is powered by 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium OS. It can be acquired at a price of $350.
