Samsung has released the Galaxy Xtreme S5690 in Netherlands. The Samsung Galaxy Xtreme S5690 also known as Galaxy Xcover Extreme is a rugged handset which is IP67-certified for dust, dirt and waterproof. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover S5690 sports 800MHz Marvell MG2 processor, a 3.6-inch HVGA Gorilla Glass display, WIFI connectivity, HSDPA,a micros card slot up to 32GB, Micro USB 2.0 port, Edge, HSDPA which supports 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA at 5.76 Mbps (3G), GPS with A-GPS support and a 3.2 Megapixel autofocus digital camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Xtreme S5690 smartphone runs on the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating System and measures 122 x 66 x 12 mm and weighs about 116 g. This smartphone simplifies with an easy access to the Social Networking Services such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration. This rugged Samsung Galaxy Xtreme S5690/Samsung Galaxy Xcover S5690 will also be released in the UK in January of 2012.
