The HP Pavilion dv6-6b00/CT Powered by the New Intel Core i3-2350M Processor

HP has made available a new 15.6-inch notebook dubbed HP Pavilion dv6-6b00/CT. This HP Pavilion dv6-6b00/CT notebook sports an ultra-High Definition 15.6-inch Clear View display having a display resolution of up to 16 million colors at 1,366 × 768 pixels.

The Pavilion dv6-6b00/CT is equipped with 2.30GHz Intel Core i3-2350M processor with three cache levels where each CPU core has its own 64 KB first level cache and 256 KB second level caches, and the cores share 3 MB third level cache where the L3 or level 3 cache is also shared with the graphics processing unit. The Intel Core i3 is a new Sandy Bridge Processor which has a higher clock speed compared to its siblings: the Core i3-2310M which is 200MHz slower and Core i3-2330M which is 100MHz slower. The integrated Graphics Processing Unit of the Core i3-2350M is HD-capable, and supports 3D acceleration. The video processing features Quick Sync, Clear Video HD, and InTru 3D. The on-chip memory controller of the processor has two channels, and works with DDR3 memory. The Intel i3-2350M supports VT-x virtualization and Hyper-Threading technology. The HyperThreading technology is not present in Intel Pentiums and Celeron processors; this technology adds additional power to the processing speed of the processor by about 20%.
