ASUS U32U 13.3-inch AMD E-450 Notebook

For those who don’t want to spend lots of money for your next notebook, Asus has something for you at an affordable price point, the new ASUS U32U. The ASUS U32U comes equipped with 13.3-inch LED-Backlight screen display with an effective resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The ASUS U32U is powered by AMD E-450 Fusion chip called APU (Accelerated Processing Unit).

APU is a technology brought to us by AMD wherein the Central Processing Unit (CPU) and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) were combined together in a single chip, thereby decreasing the bottlenecks (which occur in the previous system configuration) and improving data transfer from the GPU to CPU and vice versa. This technology also affects the power consumption of the system on the positive side, therefore prolonging battery life of the system. The equivalent of the APU technology is the Sandy Bridge chips coming from INTEL.

The ASUS U32U also sports ATI Radeon HD 6320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard disk drive and an 8-cell 5600mAh battery which can give us up to 12 hours of runtime. For connectivity, The ASUS U32U has a USB 2.0 port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, WiFi, Bluetooth v3.0 and HDMI output for streaming High Definition videos and images. Furthermore, the Asus U32U laptop has a 2-year Global warranty for your peace of mind. The ASUS U32U is expected to go on sale sometime in January when it is publicly announced at CES 2012.
