ASUS UX31E ZENBOOK

In the past few days, we have featured Ultrabooks from Acer and Toshiba. Today another Ultrabook is about to emerge in the market, the new ASUS UX31E ZENBOOK. This ultrabook computer comes with a 13.3-inch HD LCD display with an effective resolution of about 1600 x 900 pixels and an LED backlight. ASUS UX31E ZENBOOK Ultrabook sports Intel Core i7 2677M or Intel Core i5 2557M processor combined with an Intel QS67 Express Chipset. Furthermore, this Ultrabook features Intel HD Graphics 3000.

The Intel HD Graphics 3000 (also called as Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD 3000 or GMA HD 3000 or Intel HD Graphics 200) is an incorporated graphics card in the Sandy Bridge processors. The HD Graphics 3000 has no dedicated memory but it shares the level 3 (LLC Cache) with the CPU cores and part of the main memory. Some tests showed that the performance level of HD Graphics 3000 is almost the same with the performance of the current entry level generations of graphics card from NVIDIA like GeForce 310M and AMD’s HD 5450.

ASUS UX31E ZENBOOK boasts with aluminum alloy chassis, with thickness ranging from 1.7cm to 3cm and it weighs about 1.3 kg. Moreover, this Ultrabook features 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 128GB or 256GB SSD, SD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 port and micro HDMI port.
